Overview

The role of Software Development Engineer involves analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application software across one or more clients. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, enhancements, and development work to ensure the success of software projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IBM DB2 Database Administration.
• Actively participate and contribute in team discussions and planning sessions.
• Provide solutions to technical and work-related problems effectively.
• Collaborate with other team members to analyze, design, and develop high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality standards and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug software applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Document software specifications, technical designs, and processes clearly.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.

Professional & Technical Skills

• Must have proficiency in IBM DB2 Database Administration.
• Strong knowledge of database management principles.
• Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
• Solid SQL knowledge and expertise in database query optimization.
• Practical experience with database backup, recovery, and restoration procedures.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum of 15 years of full-time education (typically equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or diploma).

Additional Information

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience specifically in IBM DB2 Database Administration.
• This position is based in the Coimbatore office.
